STUDENT SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Any senior who has dropped a course for spring semester and/or any student who is planning to take an online class from home will need to have a Permission to Leave Early/Arrive Late form on file. This form can be picked up in Student Services and is due back prior to the start of the second semester. Please note students will not be able to leave campus early without this permission form on file.

Pitt Community College Ambassadors Leadership Program
If you are a motivated student, with at minimum a 3.2 (unweighted) GPA with plans on attending PCC in the fall you should apply. Students receive leadership training as well as full, in state tuition. For more details and the application go here.

Seniors please note that it is your responsibility to communicate with colleges regarding dropped classes. Prior to dropping classes in either the fall or the spring you should check with the admissions offices of your chosen schools to be sure this would not reflect poorly on you.

Free Mentoring Program offered Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 - 6:00pm at George Carver Library.
The College Prep Scholars Program prepares high-achieving, low-income 11th graders to be admitted to the nation's best colleges, and possibly attend for free. College Prep Scholars could receive special awards, such as full scholarships to college summer programs, exclusive access to 40 top colleges at a National College Admissions Conference, all-expense-paid campus visits, and more.

ANY STUDENT WITH A 504 OR IEP REQUESTING ACCOMMODATIONS ON THE SAT OR ACT BEING TAKEN OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL NEED TO BE SURE TO CONTACT THEIR COUNSELOR WITH THE TEST DATE INFORMATION IN ADVANCE OF THE TESTING DAY. IF YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED THROUGH COLLEGE BOARD OR ACT WE WILL NEED TO CONNECT YOUR INFORMATION TO THE TEST DATE IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GET THE ACCOMMODATIONS.
