Pitt County Youth for Justice and Change
The group was founded in the wake of the March for our Lives Movement. It is organized by students who are concerned for the safety and equality of their peers and is supported by the Interfaith Clergy of Greenville.
The primary purpose of the organization is to provide students with a voice in the decision making of Pitt County and to spread awareness of three key issues:
1. De facto school segregation
2. Mistreatment of minorities in schools
3. School safety and gun violence
Applications to join the group are open to college and high school students. Follow on social media below or contact us at [email protected]. Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at the Unitarian Church on Oakmont Blvd.
